Welcome to the Permanent Mission of the Holy See Geneva

The Permanent Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations Office and Specialized Agencies in Geneva was established by Pope Paul VI on February 1st 1967.
In these fora, the Holy See Mission communicates the centuries’ experience of the Catholic Church to humanity, and places this experience at the disposal of the United Nations and other Specialized Agencies to assist them in their realization of peace, justice, human dignity and humanitarian cooperation and assistance.

Pope on All Souls' Day: God has opened for us the way to eternal life

Pope Leo XIV presides over the Mass for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed at Rome’s Monumental Verano Cemetery. He recalls that "Christian faith, founded upon Christ’s Paschal mystery, helps us to experience our memories as more than just a recollection of the past but also, and above all, as hope for the future.” Later, he visited the crypt of Saint Peter's Basilica to pray for the deceased Popes.
